About the Author, Paul Hammond

Some pertinent backgound information about the author of the handbook 72 Things Everyone Should Know About Health is presented in the following paragraphs.  The insights contained within the booklet find their roots in Paul's experiences and education.

Fifteen years ago, Paul Hammond was much like any other American when it came to health care: oblivious, as it turns out.  He took the system at face value, thinking its existence implied its correctness.

When Paul developed a serious illness, he found that the system wasn't doing its job after all.  More importantly, he discovered that the system shouldn't have been the default at all; rather it was his responsibility to know about his own health care and to be actively involved.

Paul became actively involved, not only in his own health care, but also in others' by training and practicing as a doctor.  These experiences demonstrated even more forcefully the deficiencies in individuals' knowledge about health, and how this has contributed to the pandemic of poor health throughout the country.

As a response to these deficiencies in the public's knowledge of basic health, Paul crafted the booklet 72 Things Everyone Should Know About Health.  This handbook to health is the result, not only of Paul's education and experience, but of his desire to assist people in creating better lives for themselves.

Paul's belief is that every person benefits by being made aware of the actual fundamentals of health.  72 Things Everyone Should Know About Health presents concise explanations of basic knowledge necessary for people to set up their own foundations for robust health.
